Deilight shines at MSDUK2022 Business Show

Team Deilight were out in force last week for the UK's largest supplier diversity conference and business show of 2022. Just one of the 700 high growth and innovative Ethnically Marginalised Businesses (EMB) and 100s of corporate executives looking to make connections and do business at the poignantly named Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London's Parliament Square, it's easy to get lost in this high octane event within the annual D&I calendar. But that's not the Deilight way.

The only full service D&I consultancy to exhibit at the event, Deilight's Premium Stand sporting our new Masterbrand 2.0 colours and style was a hub of activity throughout the event, taking pride of place alongside EY and Accenture's lounges in the centre of the venue.

"Forgive the very conscious bias, but we don't blend in" said Taiwo Oyekan, Deilight's newest family member and Director of Client Advisory, as the event drew to a close. "Change and difference go hand in hand. As a culture transformation consultancy, we think differently and that helps us create change. We want to help humanity start loving its differences again, so what better way to prove our point than to stand out in a crowded room, not through ego, but through bold, proven confidence we are right. There is no other stand here like ours, just like there is no D&I consultancy like ours anywhere. Being here and helping to make a difference, it feels truly Deilightful."

Working alongside Deilight's Founder Ian Clarke, the duo made the most of MSDUK's opportunity and their own captivating uniqueness to clock in more than 30 meetings with mostly FTSE100 firms and fellow EMB's over the shows 8-hour run.

"Some sell products, we sell hopes and dreams", reflected the former top global salesman for Europe's largest bank. "Some claim to value difference, we embody it. Some deliver services, we deliver change. Some use words, we champion action. Some have a perspective, we seek out and consider them all. Some believe bias is unconscious, we believe oppression is active. Some exploit then blame victims, we deploy and champion allies. Some care about power and money, we care about people and the future. Some learn this, we live it. Some make promises, we help you keep them. If firms truly value difference, they'll choose us to help them change. Because we are different."

Change. We're ready when you are.

Understand why and how to diversify your supply chain

Are all your suppliers owned and led by similar people? Have you used the same supplier for years without progress? Then chances are your supply chain isn't that diverse. So what? Change can be risky, costly and difficult. But Winston Churchill summed up why its worth it best when he said "to improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often. If the plan doesn't work, change the plan but never the goal".
